For over a decade, Dr. Forto has lectured as a canine behaviorist and a musher at events throughout North America to students, business leaders, athletes and individuals.
Forto’s success as a public speaker is not based solely on his lectures being about dogs, a topic beloved by all. A keynote address by Forto delivers useful insight that can be applied all at once. Practical information is always the central theme of his lectures with a logical and rational discussion of the underlying concepts.
People interested in sports, athletics, goal setting, conquering your fears and empowerment through leadership will benefit from Forto’s lectures. A lecture by Dr. Forto provides a unifying overview of the concepts of leadership and how we can utilize it in every day life.
Run With Poodles
Robert is a professional musher and entrepreneur of several businesses. In this keynote he will reinforce the importance of team work in the workplace, team building, problem solving and more.
The analogy of sled dog racing allows each audience member to personally relate to his experience and visualize their “team” which might include their boss, the office staff, the customer and the client, and numerous other individuals assisting them with surviving their storm making for an entertaining, enlightening and informative seminar.
Run With Poodles is the title of Robert’s first book. It is a phrase that he coined several years ago when he first started thinking about running the Iditarod. The term Run With Poodles is an analogy meaning that you can overcome adversity and still run a race, even the Iditarod with a team that may not be up to the task.

Sponsorship Opportunities
Robert is looking for sponsors in order to compete in his first Iditarod in 2013 racing under the Team Ineka banner. We have started training and have plans to compete in several races in the Lower-48 starting in the 2010-11 racing season and then heading to Alaska in 2012 to run two qualifying races required before he can run the Iditarod.
The season spent in preparing to run the Iditarod requires a huge commitment of time, effort and financial resources. Training starts just after Labor Day with early morning and late night runs and will continue to increase in time and distance. Iditarod veterans and several other mushers are providing solid mentoring in helping Team Ineka reach Robert’s goal of qualifying for the race and running the Iditarod in 2013.
Robert really needs a solid base of financial support if he is to have a successful season. The budget to run the Iditarod is upwards of $30,000 a year. I have included an itemized budget to give potential sponsors a breakdown of the costs involved in maintaining ann Iditarod team as well as a list of sponsorship levels and their benefits.
